Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family. Katherine is enjoying kindergarden and is doing very well. Steve and I are doing well. As most of you know I've gotten to go back to work and Steve is home watching Katherine. I think we are both enjoying our role switch and are thankfull that we can do it. Blue and Marli are also doing well.

The Picture above was an assignment from school. I thought most of you would enjoy it since you all know Steve and his love for hunting. The assignment was to draw a picture and write a sentence about what you are doing on Thanksgiving. The picture is of us eating a turkey dinner with two guests. The purple blocks are the walls, the brown on the table is our food, and the black is our dogs begging for food.

Schools have changed how they teach writing - at this point, its not about getting all the letters in a word on the paper, it's just about writing the letter they hear in each word. For instance - Turkey - she hears the T, the R, the K, and an E - so she writes it as TRKE. So anyway, her Thanksgiving activity is going to hunt a turkey.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

First day of Kindergarden

August 30, 2010

So today was Katherine's first day of Kindergarden.
She really enjoyed it but I will let her tell you all about it herself.
They are all videos...hit the arrow button to play each one.
Enjoy!

Summer 2010

Hello everyone,

I thought it was probably time to post some pictures of Katherine....time flies so quickly.
The first picture was part of a thank you card we did. She dressed in all her princess dresses and pretended to be them. This was one of my favorite pictures.

The second picture is her and her teacher at the end of the year celebration.
She finished school in June and had a great year - she did really well and really enjoyed it.
She's heading to Kindergarden in the fall (although, she's too young to go to kindergarden in public school so she may repeat it next year in the public school system when she's allowed to attend)
The third picture was on a trip to Massachussetts. We went to a farm where she was able to pet/play with the animals. She had a blast.
Just thought I would share a couple of pictures...she's growing so fast. She's already 4-1/2....but she's definitely going on 30 or 40!
Hope everyone is well.
Love the Kardos Family.
